Beatrice is a pleasant barge of 22 meters entirely renovated on the Cassafières port in Portiragnes (between Agde and Beziers) in Languedoc-Roussillon, in the south of France, from 1,5 km of the beach. We accomodate you in a cordial atmosphere of wood of clear oak.

Your apartment : The "owner’s" cabin, of 12 square meters, is placed at your disposal with a great bed 160 cm x 200 cm with panoramic sight and nature by broad bays. It has a large wardrobe. The bathroom is next to it with bath-tub, lavabo and WC. The bedroom opens on a terrace in the front the boat. Possibility of a second cabin with twin beds and bathroom. The interior is composed of a living room with a wood stove, kitchen, dining room and steering wheel. Central heating and air conditioned.

Tourism : Built of 1667 to 1681 by Pierre-Paul Riquet, the Channel of the South is classified with the Inheritance of humanity by UNESCO. Throughout of course, you cross the vines and the typical villages of the south to the narrow streets, protected from the sun. And as far as you can see, the Pyrenees with the Canigou Mount and the Cevennes with the lake of Salagou, Pézénas, Roquebrune and the Cirque de Navacelles (canyon).
Béziers is the town of birth of Pierre-Paul Riquet, prometer of the Canal du Midi from 1667 to 1681, which joint it passing by the Garonne, the Mediterranean sea to the Atlantic Ocean.
The 7 locks of Fonséranne, which raise the barge to 21.5 meters of a hight at one time, render possible the navigation on 54 km without lock. You will pass under the tunnel of Malpas to the foot of Oppidium d' Enséruses going back to several centuries before J-C, with its museum. At the top you will discover the old pond of Montady, drained since the year 1247, with its concentric fields.
You will cross the villages of Colombier, Poilhès, Capestang, Le Somail, Ventenac, Argens in Minervois, Homps, Lézignan Corbières, Trèbes and finally the old city of Carcassonne.
